"Gerhart was believed to be born in Niederflorsheim, Palatinate on the Rhine, Germany in 1680 and died about 1745 in Skippack, PA. He emigrated in 1709 to PA in the first wave of Palatine Mennonites to leave for PA. He built and owned a mill. He married Anneli Hiestand Reiff in August 1702 in Weisseman (Mainz) Baden, Germany. ".
